From Requirements Documents to Feature Models for Aspect Oriented Product Line Implementation

چکیده
Software product line engineering has emerged as an approach to developing software which targets a given domain. However, the processes involved in developing a software product line can be time consuming and error prone without adequate lifecycle tool support. In this paper we describe our approach, NAPLES, which uses natural language processing and aspectoriented techniques to facilitate requirements analysis, commonality and variability analysis, concern identification to derive suitable feature oriented models for implementation.

FeatureIDE: An extensible framework for feature-oriented software development
FeatureIDE is an open-source framework for feature-oriented software development (FOSD) based on Eclipse. FOSD is a paradigm for construction, customization, and synthesis of software systems. Code artifacts are mapped to features and a customized software system can be generated given a selection of features. The set of software systems that can be generated is called a software product line (...
متن کاملOn the Role of Features and Goals Models in the Aspect-Oriented Development of Software Product Line
Requirements of a Software Product Line (SPL) are usually captured in the form of a feature model, which represents the product line variation model, but this model lets several requirements details aside, such as the specification of functional and non-funcional requirements. Due to the crosscutting nature of SPL variations, researchers are using aspect-oriented techniques, to deal with such c...
متن کاملSubdomain-oriented Implementation of Model-driven Software Product Lines
Software product line approaches for domain analysis—like, for example, featureoriented domain analysis (FODA) [3]—suggest to assign the features of the product line domain to distinct subdomains to approach the complexity of large software systems. In ideal case, not only the conceptual feature model, but also the architecture and the implementation of a subdomain is held strictly separate fro...
متن کاملAn Aspect-Oriented Framework for Software Product Line Engineering
Software Product Line Engineering (SPLE) is a relatively new software development paradigm to improve systematic software reuse. There are two key assets underpin the software product line (SPL) development: a feature model and a reference architecture. To deal with complex crosscutting behaviours in SPLs and also manage the impact of nonfunctional requirements (NFRs), we propose an aspect-orie...
متن کاملUsing Aspects to Model Product Line Variability
The often crosscutting characteristics of feature implementations make effective variability management a predominant engineering challenge in software product line engineering. Features can often hardly be modularized but are spread over several other modules. In this paper we propose XWeave, an approach that facilitates variability implementation, management, and tracing by using aspects to m...
